Last Christmas, I had the opportunity to visit the 9/11 Memorial at Ground Zero. It was a very moving and emotional experience for me. Thinking back on my visit still brings tears to my eyes.
We shall never forget
We shall keep this day,
We shall keep the events and the tears
In our minds, our memory and our hearts
and take them with us as we carry on.
I thought I’d share a couple of photos from the Memorial which affected me quite a lot.
A poem written by a 10-year old girl which read: 
Bombs will blast,
But souls will not,
Instead,
they fly off,
like birds.
Flying south, with free spirits and souls.
I also saw several names of women with the inscription “and her unborn child.”
May we always remember that day eleven years ago and the thousands of families affected by this horrific attack and its aftermath.
