I heard about it but I didn’t believe it.  I honestly thought this was a joke, but, unfortunately, it’s not.

“Got a birthday, anniversary, or wedding coming up?

Instead of another gift card you’ll forget to use, ask your friends and family for something that will go a little further: a donation to Obama for America. Register your next celebration—whether it’s a birthday, bar or bat mitzvah, wedding, or anniversary—with the Obama campaign. It’s a great way to show your support for a cause that’s important to you on your big day.”

How desperate is the Obama administration to solicit money from people this way?  Of course, I’ve seen numerous times when someone dies and the family asks that a donation be made in the person’s name in lieu of flowers.  That I get.  You’re giving money to a charitable organization instead of buying flowers and it’s a nice way to honor the person who passed away.

So when did our Commander-in-Chief, the Anointed One, POTUS, the most intelligent man in the world become a charity?

I smell desperation.
