Let me start by saying that I’ve been to dozens of concerts in my life.   I’ve been to Woodstock.  I’ve seen Elvis Presley, Janis Joplin, Sly & the Family Stone, Roy Orbison, Bruce Springsteen, Fleetwood Mac,  Gypsy Kings, Richie Havens, Country Joe & the Fish, Rod Stewart, George Benson, Kenny Rogers, George Srait, Johnny Mathis, Creedance Clearwater Revival, Dio, and numerous Doo Wop groups and oldies shows.

But none stands out in my mind like Crosby, Stills & Nash.  Why, you ask?  Because CS&N has the distinction of being the only band/singer/act that actually put me to sleep during their Carnegie Hall appearance back around 1970.  That’s how boring they were.

Well, Graham Nash and David Crosby’s son wrote a song entitled “Almost Gone” in support of Bradley Manning,  a United States Army soldier who was arrested in May 2010 in Iraq on suspicion of having passed classified material to the whistleblower website WikiLeaks.  He’s facing trial for his alleged activities and could face the death penalty.

I say forget the death penalty, just make him listen to this insipid, boring song 23 hours a day.  That would be punishment enough.
