You read that correctly. The Pentagon has ordered a study to study whether it does too many studies.
In 2010, the Pentagon launched its study of studies after it had received a large amount of studies.
As a result, the Government Accountability Office reviewed this latest “study” and decided it was a flop because it only examined nine prior studies (that cost more than $3 million to produce).
The government didn’t say how much it cost to study the studies.
Other commentators have likened this absurdity to an Abbott and Costello bit or a Monty Python routine.
For me, it’s a black comedy. If I stopped laughing, I’d cry.
