When my husband and I were in NYC recently, we were shocked to see how much it cost to park a car in the city.

Then I saw an article about a condo owner in Pittsburgh whose condo was assessed at $230,000 but his 18 x 10-foot parking space previously valued at $5,000 was recently assessed at $287,000!  Now he has to spend a whole lot of time, effort and money to hire an attorney to fight this nonsense.

There has to be a screw-up by the assessor’s office.  How can a parking space be worth more than a home?  I don’t get it.
