The money hasn’t yet circled the bowl, but I’m predicting it will.

I just read about yet another investment made by the Obama Administration two years ago, thanks to the American taxpayer, for yet another “green” idea. I guess we didn’t spend enough on Solyndra.

Henrik Fisker got $529,000 in government loan guarantees to start up his electric car company.

According to the ever brilliant Vice-President Joe Biden, spending $529,000,000.00 was seed money “that will return back to the American consumer in billions and billions and billions of dollars in good new jobs.”  That’s a lot of billions.  On the other hand, an article in Forbes doesn’t see it that way.

Anyway, it turns out that Mr. Fisker decided to build the car not in the United States even though there are countless number of auto workers in need of work.  Instead, 500 assembly jobs have been created in FINLAND!  Yes, the car is being manufactured 4,000 miles away on our dime. “There was no contract manufacturer in the U.S. that could actually produce our vehicle,” the car company’s founder and namesake told ABC News. “They don’t exist here.”

To top it all off, guess how much these vehicles cost.  Higher….higher….you’re getting warm…..$97,000.00!

Fisker’s plan is to build a cheaper, compact car and plans to start building them in the United States in 2013.  I don’t know about you, but I’m not holding my breath….

(I hate that they put advertisements on these clips – that’s another I Don’t Get It article itself.)
