According to my dictionary, the word “trendy” means “of or in accordance with the latest fad or fashion.”

I’ve always thought that a major reason for the election of Barack Obama in 2008 was because many people thought it would be cool to elect a Black President, forgetting, of course, his lack of any executive experience.  But he could read from a teleprompter with the best of them.

I’ve always thought his election was no different than people buying the latest clothing, shoes, or anything else that retailers and advertisers push upon the consumer at this time of year for quick and easy Christmas sales.

Well, our President thinks exactly the way I do – on this subject, anyway.  In his own words while speaking in San Francisco, he said recently, it’s “not as trendy to be an Obama supporter” today as it was during his first run for the White House.

Well, remember pet rocks?  Mood rings?  They come and they go, right? It’s time for this guy to go.
