I’ve said it more than once – personal behavior has consequences on professional decisions.
Here’s a perfect example. Sunland Park, New Mexico, Mayor Martin Resendiz, says he was drunk when he signed not one, not two, not three, but nine contracts with California architectural firm, Synthesis. In a $1 million lawsuit (monies I’m sure the good folks in Sunland Park don’t have), the esteemed Mayor says he didn’t know what he was signing.
On the other hand, this shouldn’t surprise me. They may not have been drunk, but did everyone in Congress know what they were voting on when they said “yea” to the 2,000+ page Obamacare bill? Did our President read the entire bill before he signed it? I seriously doubt it. Remember, Nancy Pelosi admitted as much when she said, “we have to pass the bill so that you can find out what is in it.”
