I don’t know about you, but it still bothers me to have to listen to people on their cell phones and have to see lighted phones in dark theatres while people text while a performance is going on.  I think it’s rude and I’m not interested in hearing other people’s conversations although many seem to be perfectly comfortable allowing strangers like me to listen in on their private talks.

What’s really amazing is that a new performance hall expected to be completed by 2014 in nearby Bellevue will allow and actually encourage patrons to send texts – obviously to draw younger audiences.

I’m very glad I’m old.  I also know I won’t be going to the Tateuchi Center in the future.
